From new year 2023 social media app WhatsApp will stop working on more than 49 smartphones.

The Meta-owned platform has been periodically discontinuing WhatsApp support for devices running older operating systems.

WhatsApp says that the app works only on Android version 4.1 or newer and iOS 12 or newer.

Apart from these devices, KaiOS 2.5 and newer versions such as the JioPhone and JioPhone 2 will also support the app.
